Billy Griffith – A graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV and co-founder of GTR History, Billy Griffith’s passion for history began when he was five years old after a trip with his father to Fort William Henry along the southern shore of Lake George, NY. He has given multiple talks to history and genealogy groups throughout his native state of New Jersey, and has also been published in Garden State Legacy magazine, the Emerging Civil War online blog, and the U.S. Navy Cruiser Sailors Association periodical. During his undergraduate studies, he completed work with the Gettysburg Foundation and Historic Shepherdstown Museum, and served as an intern, researcher, and substitute librarian with the David Library of the American Revolution in Washington Crossing, PA. He has most recently served as an Historical Interpreter for Fort Frederick State Park in Big Pool, Maryland, conducting living history programs. His main interest is in American Military History with concentrations in the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, and the Civil War. He is currently a contributing writer and historian for Emerging Revolutionary War. His first book, The Battle of Lake George: England’s First Triumph in the French and Indian War, will be released by The History Press on September 5, 2016.

Kevin Pawlak – A graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV and co-founder of GTR History, Kevin Pawlak serves as a licensed battlefield guide at Antietam National Battlefield and as an educational specialist for the Mosby Heritage Area Association. Previously, he has worked and completed internships at Harper’s Ferry National Historical Park, the Papers of Abraham Lincoln at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and the Missouri Civil War Museum. In August 2015, Kevin’s first book, Shepherdstown in the Civil War: One Vast Confederate Hospital, was published by The History Press. After a family vacation to Gettysburg when he was nine years old, Kevin discovered his passion for Military History. He is currently a contributing writer and historian for Emerging Civil War and can be found frequently speaking at Civil War Round Tables and for various other history groups.
